Terms & Conditions

1.  Students are to personally insure that they are holders of a current valid provisional driving licence.

2. Lesson cancellations by a student must be made 24hrs before the lesson is due to start. If less than 24hrs notice is given or the student does not show up for the lesson, then at the total discretion of the instructor, the full lesson fee may be lost or charged.

7. Driving tests booked by Steve Greenfield School of Motoring remain the property of the driving school and can be cancelled at our discretion until the test fee is paid in full.

6. Driving tests always take priority over driving lessons, occasionally a students tuition times may need to be changed. Any such changes will be notified to the student .

8. Students are reminded that the DSA requires 3 working days notice to cancel a test without loosing the fee. The student is solely responsible to make sure that any test cancellations are made in time,

If not to lose the fee.

5. Steve Greenfield School of Motoring reserves the right to postpone lessons if it is felt that the weather or road conditions are unsuitable or dangerous.

4. In their own interests students are advised to be punctual for their lesson appointments. The instructor will normally wait for a maximum of 15 minutes before the lesson would be abandoned and the full fee forfeited or become due for payment. A reciprocal waiting time may become necessary if the instructor is delayed due to unforeseen circumstances. Any lesson time lost as a result of this would be made up at the end of the normal lesson if possible or at a later date.

11. In the interests of customer and public safety, the instructor reserves the right to withhold the use of the tuition car for the test, if in their opinion your driving is actually or potentially dangerous.

9. On test day the instructor will make an inspection of the tuition car usually before your lesson. This is to ensure that it is acceptable for the test. Steve Greenfield School of Motoring cannot be held responsible for mechanical failures which result in test termination once the test has started.

12. It is against the law for anyone to drive while under the influence of of alcohol or drugs. Any student being suspected of being under the influence of either, will have their tuition terminated for that day with the loss of that days tuition.

13. Abusive language or threatening behaviour to the Instructor, or to the general public while within the instructors car will not be tolerated. Any such behaviour will result in the lesson and any further lessons being terminated resulting in the loss of lesson or course fee.

10.  During the driving test the tuition car is fully insured for the students use, however the student is fully responsible for the car during this time. Any costs incurred as a result of damage to the tyres, wheels, external mirrors, external bodywork or the interior during the test will be charged in full to the student. In the event of a crash the student is fully responsible to exchange details with any third party involved. Also if it is deemed that the student was at fault and caused the accident, then the student will also be liable for any insurance excess fees due.

14.  Lessons booked or course fees paid by a student  or parent/guardian confirms full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

3. Regular lesson cancellations or refusal to pay for such lessons when due, Steve Greenfield School of Motoring reserves the right to terminate any further lessons and remove the student from

the contacts list.
