Great! You’ve passed your driving test and shown that you are able to drive unsupervised on the road. As a new driver you have relatively little driving experience.
Statistics show that new drivers are more likely to have an accident within the first two years of passing their test than at any other time.
The aim of Pass Plus is to improve your driving skills and make you a safer driver. The course is a minimum of 6 hours and there is no extra tests to take.
Insurance premiums for newly qualified drivers can be very expensive especially for anyone under 25. Pupils who have gone on to complete the Pass Plus scheme have a lower accident rate. For this reason, many insurance companies will give excellent discounts of up to 35%
Driving on multi-lane roads at high speeds, with high traffic volumes and with a high number of high sided lorries, can be a daunting and frightening task.
The course will give you the experience of how to make sure you are in the right lane by reading overhead gantry signs and roadside signs in plenty of time. How to deal with breakdown procedures, motorway fatigue, crosswinds, weather conditions and the rules and signs that only apply to these types of roads.
