All driving lessons can be booked as either 1.5 hours or 2 hours in duration
Those who pass their driving test have had, on average 45 hours of professional training combined with 22 hours of private practice.
How many lessons you need will depend upon your motivation and aptitude for driving, whether you have had any relevant past experience, and whether or not you can obtain any supplementary practice between lessons with a relative or friend. The courses on offer are therefore only a guide to what hours you might need based on the circumstances outlined. It is not a guarantee that you will be ready for the test; this will depend on your individual progress.
Two million people take a car driving test every year. The pass rate is 44%, so the average learner takes more than two tests before passing. 750,000 people qualify for a licence every year and three quarters of these are under the age of 25.
